What it is: An edible flower with a subtle onion flavor

How to use chive blossoms: Pull the blossoms apart:

  • Add to salads
  • Toss into scrambled eggs
  • Mix with goat cheese for a spread
  • Top avocado or other toasts
  • Garnish grain bowls

Why chive blossoms are good for you: Chives are in the allium family – think garlic and onions. Alliums are reported to benefit circulation, digestion and the respiratory system as well as reduce cancer risk.
