Green Garlic

Green Garlic

What it is: Young garlic that has not fully matured. It may have a bulb, like a spring onion, but not individual cloves.

How to use green garlic:

  • Use green garlic as you would regular garlic.
  • Add chopped green garlic to sautés, marinades, salad dressings and soups.
  • Rub it on bread that’s been grilled, then drizzle with olive oil and toppings of your choice.
  • Use it in pesto.

Why green garlic is good for you: Garlic has anti-cancer properties, promotes heart health, can help control high blood pressure, and has anti-viral properties.
